CHARTER OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ĆIĆEVAC PRESENTED TO THE MINISTRY OF CONSTRUCTION, TRANSPORT AND INFRASTRUCTURE
At the formal session marking the Day of the Municipality of Ćićevac, held on 27 June 2026 in the Main Hall of the Ćićevac Public Library, the Charter of the Municipality of Ćićevac, the highest award granted by the local self-government, was presented to the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure – the LIID Project Management Unit.
The Charter was awarded to the Ministry in recognition of its strategic partnership and exceptional contribution to the development of the Municipality of Ćićevac. It also expresses appreciation for the successful cooperation, significant support and commitment to improving local infrastructure and the quality of life of residents.
On behalf of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure and the LIID Project Management Unit, the Charter was received by Dragan Mirković, Head of the LIID Project Management Unit.
The award confirms the successful partnership between the Ministry and the Municipality of Ćićevac, as well as their joint work on the preparation and implementation of projects that improve public spaces, accessibility and living conditions for the residents of the municipality.
Two grant agreements, with a total value of EUR 1,172,440, have been signed with the Municipality of Ćićevac, covering three infrastructure projects.
As part of the cooperation to date, works have been completed on the reconstruction of the Youth Square and the area behind the Cultural Centre in Ćićevac, as well as on the second phase of the reconstruction of the schoolyard of the “Dositej Obradović” Primary School in Pločnik.
The project for the improvement of the schoolyard of the “Dositej Obradović” Primary School in Ćićevac and the adaptation of access for persons with disabilities is also under implementation, with a value of EUR 724,785.
The Local Infrastructure and Institutional Development Project – LIID is implemented by the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, with the support of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the French Development Agency. Through the LIID Project, the Ministry supports local self-governments in implementing infrastructure investments, strengthening their capacities and improving the quality of public services.
