State and Municipality Invest in Road Infrastructure – Reconstruction of Three Streets in Kuršumlija
As part of the LIID project, a local infrastructure improvement initiative is being implemented in the Municipality of Kuršumlija. The Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure has allocated RSD 37 million (excluding VAT) for the project.
The contracting authority is the Municipality of Kuršumlija, while the works are being carried out by Metalplast Pavlović. Professional supervision is provided by the Public Enterprise for Construction Land Development Kuršumlija. The project covers the redevelopment of three streets: Toplice Milana, Radoša Jovanovića Selje, and Prvomajska, with a completion deadline of 180 days.
In Toplice Milana Street, works are currently focused on the construction of a stormwater drainage system and the reconstruction of existing sewer connections. The street will be upgraded within its current regulatory alignment, over a length of 146 meters, with a 5.5-meter-wide carriageway and sidewalks of varying width on both sides.
The project also includes landscaping works, with designated areas for grass and ornamental shrubs, while sidewalks will be finished with concrete paving slabs. Further activities include the reconstruction of public lighting, installation of new LED lighting, and full road marking with both horizontal and vertical traffic signage.
Similar works are planned for Radoša Jovanovića Selje Street, including the reconstruction of the water supply network, installation of stormwater drainage, and modernization of public lighting. Prvomajska Street will undergo a full reconstruction and comprehensive upgrade.
The works were inspected by Vojimir Čarapić, who announced continued investments in road infrastructure through this and other projects aimed at improving traffic safety and enhancing the overall quality of life for residents.
