VRANJE INVITES RESIDENTS TO ATTEND THE PRESENTATION OF A NEW SPACE FOR SPORTS, PLAY AND RECREATION
A public presentation of the project “Construction and Development of Part of the Sports and Recreation Centre in Vranje”, which the City plans to implement under the LIID Project, will take place on Friday, 6 November 2026, at 3 p.m. at the Gallery of the People’s University in Vranje, at 1 Heroja sa Košara Street.
The City of Vranje invites residents, representatives of institutions, organisations and associations, and all other interested parties to learn about the proposed development.
Covering approximately 7,300 square metres, the proposed development includes a skate park, an adventure park, children’s playgrounds and landscaped green spaces. The new facilities are designed for people of different ages and will provide more opportunities for play, outdoor recreation and social interaction.
More than 3,170 square metres will be dedicated to green spaces, complementing the sports and recreational facilities. The public presentation will provide an opportunity to consider the proposed design from the perspective of those who will use the space every day.
The Local Infrastructure and Institutional Development (LIID) Project is implemented by the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, with support from the World Bank and the French Development Agency (AFD). The project supports improvements to local infrastructure, sustainable mobility and public spaces, with the aim of enhancing quality of life in local communities.
