New investment in the infrastructure of the city of Kragujevac
As part of the project of local infrastructure development and institutional strengthening of local self-governments “LIID project”, representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, the French Development Agency and the World Bank visited today Kragujevac, which has been allocated 3.2 million euros as part of this project.
The city of Kragujevac will have the received grant funds available until the end of 2028 for the implementation of the project for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of e-traffic infrastructure, the construction of pedestrian crossings, bicycle paths and areas for public transport, the development of e-mobility, including charging stations and infrastructure for e-bikes and e-motorcycles.
The “LIID” project, whose total value is 265.2 million euros, is implemented in 145 local units of local self-governments based on the Loan Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (World Bank), as well as the loan agreement with the French Development Agency.
