Novi Pazar is strengthening its infrastructure with the support of the LIID project

Representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, the French Development Agency and the World Bank visited Novi Pazar, which received grants in the amount of three million euros for the implementation of capital projects within the framework of the Local Infrastructure Development and Institutional Strengthening Project (LIID project).

The representatives of JUP LIID were presented with a series of projects that are planned to be implemented in the territory of the municipality of Novi Pazar in the area of ​​traffic infrastructure, construction of new pedestrian crossings, bicycle paths or spaces for public transport, increasing the resistance of traffic infrastructure to climate change, active mobility such as greening and solving the problem of inherited pollution, modernization of public lighting, development of e-mobility, installation of electric charging stations and construction of infrastructure for e-bikes and e-motorcycles.

Certain funds enable Novi Pazar to significantly improve infrastructure, increase sustainability and create better living conditions for all citizens.

The Local Infrastructure and Institutional Development (LIID) project is one of the most important infrastructure programs in Serbia, which is financed through loans from the French Development Agency (AFD) and the World Bank, and its total value is 265.2 million euros.
