2.4 million euros for the realization of the LIID project in Sjenica
One of the 145 units of local self-government that is included in the LIID project is the municipality of Sjenica, which received 2.4 million euros that will be used for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the existing traffic infrastructure in this municipality until the end of 2028.
On this occasion, representatives of the JUP LIID project met with the management of the municipality of Sjenica, and on that occasion one of the planned projects “Construction of a street with parking space, bicycle path and urban equipment in public space” was presented at a location near the “Jezdimir Lović” Gymnasium.
By joining the LIID project, Sjenica gets the opportunity to significantly improve its infrastructure, improve the quality of life of its citizens and create conditions for long-term sustainable development.
The Local Infrastructure and Institutional Development (LIID) project is one of the most important infrastructure programs in Serbia, which is financed through loans from the French Development Agency (AFD) and the World Bank, and its total value is 265.2 million euros. A key aspect of the project is the support of local governments in more efficient management of infrastructure resources and the application of modern technological solutions for sustainable development.
